We first take the highway to reach the former capital, La Laguna. This city has been protected by UNESCO since 1999. We visit the local farmers' market where you can find a bit of everything, especially all the different potatoes from the Canary Islands.

Next, we head towards the famous laurel forest of El Mercedes, starting at Cruz del Carmen for a beautiful walk and a 360-degree viewpoint. Here, it's spring all year round and the environment is always incredibly green. Further on, in the Anaga region, we have time to picnic overlooking the town of Taganana.

Now we reach the northernmost part of the island, Playa del Roque de las Bodegas, known for the export of local wine. After a short photo break, we continue through the Anaga mountains towards the south, where you'll find the very first constructed beach (Las Teresitas) with sand brought from the Sahara Desert. We have time to stroll or enjoy a coffee on one of the beautiful terraces overlooking the sea and palm trees.

We pass by the capital Santa Cruz with its huge port and a zone of approximately 12 km where all these gigantic cruise ships dock. The final stop will be in the town of Candelaria, known for its Basilica of the Black Madonna inaugurated in 1959. The ancient kings of the "Guanches" also reside here, next to the black lava beach and a small shopping street.
